She first appeared on the stage as an actor in the production The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) Off-Broadway. In the following year she was offered her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. She was enlisted as a character supporting in the movie Basic Instinct. It marked the beginning of her impressive career. The Firm is where she began her career as a female actor opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked alongside some of the most renowned actors in the business, including Gwyneth Paltrow on Sliding Doors Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. She played Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural drama Criminal Minds.
